Bret Michaels, 47, a reality TV star had an emergency appendectomy at a private care facility for diabetics last week after complaining of stomach pains before he was scheduled to perform at Sea World in San Antonio, Texas.
Bret Michaels is in critical condition suffering from a brain hemorrhage. Michaels published on his website that though the surgery is over and the doctors expected him to make a full recovery.
Michaels was hospitalized at an undisclosed center on Thursday after suffering massive subarachnoid hemorrhage, also known as bleeding at the base of his brain stem.
Michaels told his followers that he was rushed to a hospital on the 11th day of April for an emergency appendectomy.
The report found that Michaels suffered a subarachnoid haemorrhage at the base of the brain.
In case you didn’t know Bret Michaels, he is an American singer, best known as the lead vocalist of the glam metal band Poison. Besides his career as lead singer, he has several solo albums to his credit, as well as one chart single.
He has also starred in the VH1 reality show Rock of Love with Bret Michaels and its sequels, and as a judge on the talent show Nashville Star. He is a contestant on NBC’s reality show Celebrity Apprentice 3.
